Fate/Grand Order is a brand new two year old mobile game which only just recently got an official English release thanks to the folks at Aniplex.
It's a "gacha" style mobile RPG where you pull random characters from a huge random pool, with absolutely pathetic probabilities of pulling the best and strongest characters. Thankfully, while it can be demoralizing to pull 3* and 4* servants for ever and ever, it's not the end of the world since many of those lower rarity servants are absolutely capable of clearing all of the content in the game, and are often only a little bit behind the absolute best rarest and most limited servants in the game.
You create a team out of up to five of your own servants, and one borrowed from a friend, and take them into turn based RPG combat in a light narrative story mode in which you're attempting to correct history to prevent the annihilation of humanity, which will occur in the year 2019.
Servants you summon primarily fall into one of seven main categories, with some special categories that exist outside of the normal affinity wheels being much less common.
This, along with their individual skills and special attacks, can inform your decisions about which servants to pair up together and who to take into combat against what enemies.
